Hello,

I have a Windows 2000 Small Business Server. I was trying to determine how many user licenses were installed. This sounds easy.

I went to Administrative Tools and clicked on Licensing and got the following message:

"Not available in Microsoft BackOffice Small Business Server. To add client licenses, choose Manage Server from the Start Menu and select About Small Business Server."

I can't find "Manage Server" anywhere or anything about it.

What can I do?

A bit of history. We bought the SBS 2000 because there was an application that required Microsft SQL. When I did the initial install, I didn't install SQL because I was unsure and didn't want to mess it up. I let the software vendor do it when he installed the software. I don't know if this is important but I thought I should tell you.

Thanks

Open the Small Business Server Administrator Console. There is a shortcut to this on my desktop that points to the file: "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\BackOffice\Management\ITProSBSConsole.msc" on my PDC.

On the right hand side under Helpful Links, click the About link. The number of licenses will be listed there.
