I have a site that wants to use Soft-phones, but keep their desk phones handy.
A direct call to the soft-phone will allow the user to place the call on hold, transfer, etc.
A call to their desk-phone that is answered on the soft-phone (twinned), does not allow the call to be transferred.
A call to a Multi-call configured on the soft-phone can answer on the soft-phone, but just like above, calls cannot be transferred.
They are considering removing the desk phones and letting the users use just their soft phones, but they have 2 issues that make the transfer issue a big deal.
1 - they have a team number - this is a DN that appears on all the department desk-phones. If I add the team number to the soft-phone, they can't transfer the calls.
Calls to their own DN are call Reroutes 1st Alternative to the team number, and 2nd Alternative to voicemail.
2 - Unless I eliminate the desk phone and renumber the soft-phone to be the desk phone, any calls to the Desk-phone DN will not allow them to transfer the call. Not even if the DP is forwarded to the SP.
The MiCollab client is version 7.3 if that helps.
