Been reading over the ntp to upgrade our current MICB to release 4. Seems pretty simple and all the steps are there. Just curious what sort of downtime should I expect, an hour or so?
Will be replacing 2 cards (1 card is currently active, not sure why they didn't run in dual mode), installing new keycodes, and restoring prompts and recordings from the old pcmia card.

Thanks

Good deal, Thanks

Looking at the programming side of this, and was curious if you guys had 1 acd queue shared across both cards, or are you using 2 seperated q's.
Thanks

Forgot the particulars. Will be going from single card (32 port) setup to 2 Cards with keycodes for 64.
Thanks

We used 2 different ACD queues for our cards. One card is keycoded for 32 ports and the other for 20 ports. All the ports on Card A are in queue 1740 and all ports on Card B are in queue 1790. In the MICB S/W you can tell it that these are dual mode cards.

Thanks. That will make things a little easier.

Hopefully last question.
So you have 2 seperate queues, 1 for each card. Do both cards pos id's and extensions have to be in sequence on both cards? (ie. Card 1 starts with pos id 1000 and ends with pos id 1031, does card 2 have to start with pos id 1032?)

No. I looked at mine and my 1st card is POS ID 2500-2531, SCR range 2400-2431. I started my POS range on the 2nd card at 2540 and my SCR range at 2440.

Phew. I got a little worried, the NTP instructed to keep numbers consecutive but wasn't clear whether that needed to be across both cards. Thought I had to do a ton of switch clean up to free up #'s in the first cards range.

I'm assuming you did the same for the confree and chair dummy q's that are ncfw to the MICB acd?

Thanks again

That's correct.
