these are the ports used by VOIM24:

IPKTS Protocol (Unicast) 5588 UDP
IPKTS Protocol (Multicast - IP 239.20.19.50) 6254 UDP
H.323 Signalling Channel 1720 TCP
H.245 Control Channel 2048 - 3071 Note2) TCP
Audio Channels - P1 (RTP/RTCP) 6000 - 6047 UDP
Audio Channels - P2 (RTP/RTCP) 8000 - 8047 UDP
Audio Channels - H.323/SIP (RTP/RTCP) 9000 - 9047 UDP
T.38 Fax Relay 9200 -9247 UDP
Data Forwarding (for VideoPhone Application Sharing) 8500 - 8547 TCP
TCP Maintenance 5003 TCP
HTTP Server 80 TCP
SIP Signalling Channel 5060 UDP

then which ones do we port forward on the MFIM i now understand that both MFIM and Voim use different ports. You cant NAT the same port twice on the same public IP.

HI all,

I have the save question, UDP port 5588 forward to MFIM or VOIM if we have VOIM connected?

Cheers,
Simon

If the MFIM is on version 5.5 or 5.6 or 6.0 Software, then port fwd

UDP 5060 to the MFIM as this controls the SIP setup

UDP 7000 - 7015, UDP 7100 - 7115, UDP 7300 - 7315 to the MFIM as these are the Audio port for the MFIM VoIP

then UDP 6000 - 6047, UDP 8000 - 8047 and UDP 9000 - 9047 to the VoIM24 as these are the Audio ports for the VoIM

Then in
PGM 132 - Sequence number of the MFIM VoIP - input the Firewall IP Address which will be your Fixed Public WAN address
PGM 132 - Sequence number of the VoIM24 - input the Router IP Address (Gateway IP Address), and the Firewall IP Address which will be you Fixed Public WAN address

Regards
Steve

Thanks Steve, but the very funy thing is the sip phone (lip-8002)without any audio if using VOIM channel, using MFIM channel is fine. How did you setup CO Voip Mode in both MFIM and VOIM (sip only or common).

Cheers,
Simon

Hi Simon,
Make sure MFIM VoIP channels(CO Lines)are in a working CO Line grp - ie 1-20, then Also check the VoIM8 channels (CO Lines)are also in working line grp.
Check PGM 140-142 - CO VoIP Mode is Common for all VOIP lines - this will allow Remote IP Phones and SIP Trks to use either set of IP trks.
Then
PGM 132 - Sequence number of the MFIM VoIP - input the Firewall IP Address which will be your Fixed Public WAN address
PGM 132 - Sequence number of the VoIM24 - input the Router IP Address (Gateway IP Address), and the Firewall IP Address which will be you Fixed Public WAN address

Also double check that in PGM 132 sequence number of MFIM VoIP and VoIM - that the RTP Packet Relay Firewall IP Address is empty, as this will effect the audio

Regards
Steve

Thanks guys, sorry i have been away for sometime;

The SIP is now working but another problem is we have Ipecs Communicator extension registerd on the system. If you try to use the Ipecs comm outside the LAN I.e from Gsm or external wifi via VPN on your device the mobile device will not register on a port forwarded address. If you remove the Port forwarding or Nat the device can register but they will be no SIP Line registration .

How can the two work together.

Thanks in advance
