I have to install a system in Juarez Mexico for a client I have in NYC. They will be getting an IP500 at 5.0 with an E1 and all 5410s. I believe they are on the same power as the US but I wanted to see if there is something I am missing as to the ease of installation for a Mexican site.

BTW, are E1s as easy to install as a PRI? Will standard Anaolg Trunk 4s work with the local carriers?

You sure they are getting an E1, that's a european thing, but it's even easier than T1 (they are both PRI) :-)

AT&T is telling me its an E-1.

Probably is, just with America being T1 I would have thought Mexico would be the same, remember E1 is 30 channels not 24 so you will need more licences to achieve a full pipe :-)

E1 is very easy, just a few parameters and your done.

happy to help you with E1 and E1 R2 (the older school) since its the majority of our deployments.

the locale settings should take care of a lot of your problems if you set it to Mexico (make sure you have a dictionary at hand for programming then:-) ) the analog lines will adapt to the local requirements and E1 or T1 is no big difference.
