does anyone have shortcuts they use that could help some of us slower techs? here a short list that we use on site that may be usefull.

1. trac key on switchroom sets.. as soon as someone calls, i know the tn.

2. meta keys... alt 2 is paste.. i can copy that same tn, prt the set, stat the set or change and never type or forget the tn.

3. and as most people here know, we use scripts for almost every thing.. we just went from 4 to 5 digit dn's on over 7k stations by running scripts for 30 hours.

John, I agree and use all of yours. Except I set right click to paste.

I also will open 4 telnet windows for sip testing. I can see end to end dch messages with SIP messages in between.

Scripts are used everyday, even down to name changes. Since I work with someone that does not have much Nortel experience, I created and copied a lot of them.

What do you mean "slow". What are you trying to say??? What's a script? What are we talking about here?
I really wish I could keep up with all this. Tip and ring was so easy to fix. Now there is SIP, IP, soon to come, Virtual. (Beam me up Scotty!)
Without scripting and Aspect, we would be working weeks on projects, and would be lost without Procomm. I have to say "Thank You" to all the guys here that write and support scripting.

Doc your so on track there. When I started in this field Party lines were accepted NOW you hear some one else's conversation its a trouble ticket.
Who would have guessed things would have progressed so quickly.

zstc78 - that's a great idea you gave me.

I used to live on a party line but forgot all about it. Now when I get a complaint for crosstalk - I will be telling user that is because your on a party line and it will cost them them to leave.
