Ive recently switched over from a framed site and been to a couple of online services that check out meta-tags etc. They still show the ones I used on my framed site and not my new ones? Any idea where they get the info from so I can delete it,my index page has been updated.

Are you saying that the search engines are still displaying your old meta tags, on your new site, even though you've changed them?

It has to do with the search engines database. You have to re-submit new meta tags to the search engines for your new site. It doesn't matter how much you try to change them on your site, it won't work.

AND, when you do re-submit your meta-tags, don;t be surprised if it takes up to or longer than a month to change.

Try going to to submit your site. You will have to re-enter your meta tags, and hopefully it will over-right the old one.

Hope this helps. [deejay]

These sites I visited did online checking right to my site, first was loading time, then meta-tags and checked links, this was not done with asearch engine but a site on the web that checks out if your site is ready to be submitted to the search engines.

Have you checked the meta tags for ALL of the pages contained in your frames? Each document will have it's own tags, so mayhaps the review service that you used just looked at the document that defined the frames, and not the actual documents that provide the content for the frames?

After re-reading your initial post, I see that you've eliminated frames (a good move, imho) but are experiencing the meta-tag problem after the fact. I don't see any reason for this unless you have some fancy caching software on the server, such as xcache.
