I was re-installing win2k last night, and instead of getting some much needed sleep, I decided to try an re-install windows. That did me about as much good as a hole in the head. Now when I re-installed it, I accidently installed it to a different HDD. Since then I've fixed everything except one thing. Theres no system left on my secondary hard-drive, but I still have the option at boot up to boot up either of the two os's.

I was wondering if any of you could help me out in fixing my mbr maybe? so that it automatically boots the c:\ an stops looking at the d:\ ?

I tried fdisk /mbr an that did no good, any help would be much appreceated. Thanks in Advance.

Just edit the boot.ini file in root of C: (its hidden system file so you'll need appropriate settings to see it in explorer). It will have 2 entries, looking something like:-

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Windows 2000 Professional" /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINNT="Windows 2000 Professional" /fastdetect

Assuming you're booting from first hard drive, remove the entry with rdisk(1).

The default should point to rdisk(0).
