Messages with attachments are being delivered in mime format

Hi,
We are using Mailsweeper 4.3.1 and have recently moved it to the DMZ so that it now sends mail using DNS instead of forwarding them to a proxy server, since then I have had complaints that messages with attachments to one domain are arriving in mime format. Any ideas?
