We have an ACD queue that forwards to voicemail and want to be able to have a MWK on a 39XX set light to let us know when there is mail in it. The 39XX set has its own extension and a voicemail associated with that so there is an MWK for that extension and that is the extension that lights the light.
We are using Octel for voicemail and can't figure out how to make the ACD queue appear as a DN on the set to add the MWK.

Any ideas?

i would put a secondary dn on the set even if it's on a add on mod that you don't need to install. (soft key) then put that as the msg lamp in the mail box. put an xmk key on any key and it will light up the key and the overhead lamp..

of course that does mean that on the mail box the light and the dn will not match.. i just ran through the same thing with a call pilot and that was the work around

On 39xx set program
CLS LMPX
KEY xx SCN 1234
KEY xx XMWK (Mail Number) 1234

Then in the Unity send the notification to DN 1234
On the set you then have an MWK Key for the personnal Mail and the XMWK for ACD Mail. When consulting any of the 2 mailboxes, the red light will still be turned on if a message is present in the other mailbox. You can add as many XMWK you need on the same set.

i haven't seen cls lmpx i'll look it up, what does it add? i had a simular setup, used the same workaround without that classmark. add the scn to a phantom aom on the 3904. used another key on that soft aom for xmwk and the overhead worked, the user could still use the msg key for autodial to the mail because of the key 16 mwk xxxx.. thanks for the update.

From NTPs:

(LMPN) Red LED on Meridian Modular Telephone reflects the
status of the mailbox associated with the PDN

LMPX Red LED on Meridian Modular Telephone reflects the
status of the mailbox associated with the PDN and
non-PDNs

i guess i didn't need that class mark because of the fact that i had only one line marped on that set that had mail or lmpx is default for that 3903 in rls 3..?? sometimes i get it right sometimes i get lucky.. either way i wasn't sure if the overhead would light so i programed on my test phone in the switchroom, before i added it to the user

OK will try but want to clarify a couple of things. We are using Octel 250 for the mailbox and the DN is an ACD queue that has been call forwarded to the Octel Mailbox.
The discussion above seems to be providing a solution with Meridian Mail or Call Pilot.
We are running Succession 3 so it should work.

Hello
The number of the service that has been called must be recognized by any messaging system. This system must be able to send the notification to a different number than the called one. In your case ACD number is recognized, and notification must be sent to a DN defined as secondary number of your desired set.
