Definity g3v3i

I'm having a problem with a BIS-22D phone; the message indicator light will not come on. I have changed out the phone and I have checked it against another extension of the same type and they are both set up the same in definity and voicemail. I have it set up as a 7315h and noticed that there is no field for message indicator lamp as with; say, an 8110. Can anyone shed some light on this situation for me?

Thanks

could you set up an aut-msg-wt lamp on another button as a work around?

Yeah I guess I could, how does that work, do you just assign it like you would assign a busy indicator?

Test the Bis set's light by using the feature code for leave word calling activate. if it lights than there is a problem with the vm sending the code.

Remove the station and recreate it again.

If this does not help, remove the voicemail box and recreate it.

Something in the software sounds hosed!!!

Use the staus sta command to see if the message waiting indicator shows <msa> or <audix> or shows something. This tells you that the switch recognizes that a message is waiting for that set or not.

Better yet, remove the station and duplicate (using the duplicate command) the station that does work.

I'm still having problems with this.

I set up an aut-msg-wt lamp, but that didn't light up either.

I checked status sta and the message waiting field is blank.

I removed the station and recreated it, but that didn't help either, I haven't redone her voicemail yet because I wasn't sure if she had any important messages on there or not.

I looked at the fac page and only saw a lwc retrieval lock/unlock and a lwc send a message/cancel a message, are either of these the lwc activate that ken was talking about?

I'm new to this system so I appreciate your patience and I really appreciate your help.

Thanks

What type of voicemail? definity audix or Intuity.

If definity audix then make sure the name field is identical to the name field of the station. There are audits on the voicemail that can be performed as well, like audit switch-names, or audit mailbox.

Also at the command prompt on the audix you can "display activity <subscriber number>. set the date and enter. This activity screen will show you all the activity in the mailbox. It will also tell you whenthe MWI turns on and turns off. If you do not see this them make sure the "change system activity" screen has the MWI option set to on, and check the activities screen again.

Clear the messages out of the box and see if the MWI off activity shows up. Leave a message and then see if the MWI ON activity is set in the activity screen for that subscriber.

Check that the comunity ID and the switch ID are 1 if on a single switch. Switch ID should be changed to 2 or 3 if the phone is in a DCS network and the phone is at another site.

Lastly, have the user clear the messages out of the mailbox and blow it away and recreate it.

It should work if you do all these items.

We've got a Comverse Trilogue voicemail system. I've never even heard of this system. Anyone know where I can find some info on it?

Are you using Mode Code intergration? or a serial link?
