I have recently installed GFI Mail Essentials onto our win2k sp3 exchange2k sp3 server with around 800 accounts. At about the same time, though not for certain, I began experiencing a seemingly random problem where a message usually with an attachment (big or small) will refuse to download using pop3. It will begin to download and then time out. I've tried several clients, outlook express,eudora pro 5.1, and outlook. all experience the same problem. If I go into OWA and move the message to the deleted folder I can then download the rest of the messages in the mailbox to the pop3 client. If I then go into the deleted items and forward the "problem" message to the user they can then download it. I've looked in the event log and haven't see anything that seems to be connected.
