Message hyperlinks will not open

Messages download OK but when one attempts to open a hyperlink nothing happens. Yes, I know I am using an old version(v6) and are about download v8, but I don't think that in itself is going to solve the problem. Can anyone please advise.

Version 6 & 8 of what - Internet Explorer? What mail client do you use - Outlook Express? If my guesses are correct and you still have IE6 installed, try runing this IEFix utility
