Message for you display

I have a customer with a BCM 400. There is one ext. that when a voicemail message is left the phone does not display Message For You. The phone is a 7208. The softrawre is 3.6.in the BCM. Any Ideas

That phone knows that user is smart enough to know what the RED light means and doesn't need to be told in words. Ha Ha

I have seen this a few times, but it said (message for you) and they didn't want that so I copied another phone to it to get rid of it.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Make sure Message Waiting is "Y" in Vmail programming. Does the display even work?

Make sure the mailbox is tied to the ext.

hey ace just for a heads up if a phone is displaying message for you and there are no vmail msgs just press feature # 65 this will delete it. Bfitz if you have checked all the basic stuff mentioned already there is a possibility that the phone has the static time&date feature turned on and I'm thinking that I had this problem myself before, so from the phone press feature # 806 and then re-test.

It does sound like the static time is turned on & the 7208's
only have a single line display so you will never see the message for you indicator unless turned off.
