Message: Error fetching / setting data for report. Exception: Object reference not set to an instance of an object

I have several reports giving back this error, but others run fine.

We have changed the version of the app this is embedded in, which used to work, but I'm a data analyst not a server expert, so don't know what settings to look at, where to search for this problem.

The stored procedure was written in SSMS, the report works fine in CR itself, just fails when I try to run it in the destination app.

Any suggestions please?

Might not be related, but I see this error in another application I support. We receive this error when the server/workstation cannot use/see the default printer.
