This is the message I am getting when sending out email
"could not deliver the message in the time limit specified" and qlue where I should start...
That just means the time-out period was expired before delivery.
Are you getting this on every e-mail?
Marc If 'something' 'somewhere' gives 'some' error, expect random guesses or no replies at all. Please specify details.

OK real quick, the company is using their outlook clients to pop their email from an isp all we are using the exch box for is to store email. now with that in mind do I need to configure the exch smtp connector?
Could not deliver the message in the time limit specified.
I don't get it on all messages, just some. What is interesting is that the error comes to the sender within 30 seconds of sending the message. If it is a time out, it sure is a quick one. It appears that most messages are in fact being delivered in just a few minutes. It there a timer that I need to evtend a little longer? All these nondelivery reciepts are causin a high level of user stress.
I seem to have resolved this issue by disabling esmtp on the advanced tab of the smtp connectors properties. It seems that some email servers don't support these enhancements and therefore generate non delivery reports.
