I know, I know this is a Definity forum. But by chance anyone of you have any experience in the use of a Merlin Magix switch I could use the help.

Problem is I have one extension that when a 9 is pressed to access the outside she gets the wave off tones. This user is able to receive both external / internal calls but is unable to make any external calls.

Worst part about this is this switch is in a remote location and using WinSPM is one of the most frustrating things since the child locking caps on aspirins.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you

Eddie,

There is a great forum like this dedicated to the Merlin Magix and all it's options. It's in the "Wiring Closet" like the Definity, it's called "Merlin systems" If you post there I know someone will help you.

Good luck,
Mike

if you've already checked the ARS restrict under extensions for that extension and also the Restriction level (i.e. unrestricted, outgoing, etc) also under extensions, then next go to "account code" under extension and check to make sure that that extension is not forced to enter an account code. I had that happen with mine last week. Your best thing is to run a print of the extension info of that station and everythign will show you right there. But i bet it's account code forced.

Exactly what the problem was, the Forced Account Code was enabled. Thanks
