Is there anyway to make a telephone only receive voice calls? The telephone is in a reception area for a surgery center and the telephone is used to page or request someone to come to the surgery area.

yes, you can program the co lines not to ring on that extension, but we need to know what system and software level (if known) to help you.

Well, on a Merlin Legend, the call originator chooses how the call is received - If the call is placed on an SA-Voice button, it will be voice announce at the receiver. If this is a "classic" Merlin, is depends on which control unit it is.

Now, it does seem a little impersonal to just page a patient in the waiting room of the surgery center, instead of sending the nurse out to get get the patient. [red]"Paging Mr. whender, please come back for your vasectomy. Paging Mr. whender......."[/red]

You could also put that station in a Group Page for the Legend/Magix versions. Then you can page in that manner reliably. That way it could still ring as normal when needed, and no problem with SA keys for voice calls.
