Hi all Meridian gurus!

One simple question: Is it possible to connect Meridian (ver. 80, I suppose) to Ericsson MD110 with Qsig (this is OK, I think), and have number/name representation and also services as e.g. call-back functioning?

there is no meridian version 80 ...
but with additional software all meridian systems are QSIG compliant ...dont know if the MD100 can do QSIG

senk1s:

I am not sure about the SW, but it should be the latest.
MD110 can do Qsig, that's sure. The question is, if these two are compliant with each other? As you know, different manufacturers have their own standards, specially with Qsig, DPNSS etc...

QSIG is an open standard ...
meaning any QSIG PBX can network with any other QSIG PBX
All the 'required' features of the QSIG recommendation will work, if the PBX manufacturer is part of the consortium

But all vendors have their propritary networking software as well - in this case you get a better integration but are tied to one vendor

yes you can build routes between any 2 switches, if the 80 has qsig ava, then you can get names and msg lamps across the pri. if not the interface will only pass clid.. if you can log into the merridian, ld 22 iss will tell you the rls, unless it'sa real old, not to worry.. about how many phones are on the merridian?
