Meridian Opt 11 message waiting lamp staying on 1

I have an old opt 11 with a bunch of m2616 phones with displays. I have one phone that the message waiting lamp is staying on, but none of the mailboxes have any messages in them. I have tried to find the program in the meridian generic x11 book to reset the Message waiting lamp but it is like trying to read stereo instructions in Japanese. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to go into Tools and run a MWI audit. You might check in the database if there is another phone, or mailbox that might have that 2616 as the mwi extension.

Do you have Meridian Mail? If you do go into user admin and do a search on Message waiting indicator and put in the ext that has the light lit and it wasn't added to another voice box.

You can add an MCK key to a digital set and manualy turn the lite off. KEY XX MCK. To use press mck and enter Ext. then press mck again (if lite does not blink after entering ext. then indicator is already off).
