Hello: I am trying to tap into the transmit from the Meridian mail and feed it into a Cisco CallManager. Currently my MM is connected to my SL-100 via 4 wires through an A Sync short hall modem that is connected into the MM's DB 25 connector. Does anyone know which pins are TX out of that DB 25? I've tried tapping off the TX on the modem, but no dice. Thanks!

pins 2 and 3 on the rj-21 but your not going to get the data you need.. connect a pri between the ccm and the dms, protocol qsig, then add qmwi to the rcap.. i have the same set up here between the ccm, my 81 and cp.. the install was mermail, since upgraded to pilot.. we have msg lamps, names etc.. i give the cisco sets auth tones on ld via the ncos of that pri.. if i needed i could add stations that did not need ld auth codes by sending them to a route with a higher ncos..

you can read the data between the hsl and the pbx, so you could use it for "if target equals" type script..

I didn't notice an RJ21, I ASSumed the MWI was coming out through the CSL port which was a db25...we have the VM working via PRI, just not the MWI, lights, bells ect. ect. How to get the indicator working?

Thanks again!

my indicator come to me via a a pri.. on the db 25 pins 2 and 3 are transmit and 9, 11 are rec.. but i can't see cisco accepting that data string to turn on light..

a qsig pri is the only way i've ever seen that done.. that connector is sending streaming data, waiting for an ack from the far end. no check sum no framing..

how are you dialing between the dms and the ccm? if that is a pri then use the rcap to control lamps

We've got this working using a callegra VM system...connecting the TX of the VM server to pins 2 and 5 of the Call manager serial port produced messaging....OP:MWI 2682030!RMV:MWI 2682030! and then under Cisco Messaging interface we enable the messaging and the SMDI messages controlled the lights. We don't have an SL-1 and I thought rcap was only on sl-1 trunks???

Thanks!
