meridian Link

my boss is asking can we get someone to activate/integrate a old meridian link off of our opt81 to some application that needs it. of course all the bell south techs and others say this product is end of life.

My question is there anyone out there that has experience on this platform. just because it is end of life doesnt mean it will not work with applications built for it. Let me know. Our company would rather pay fees to someone who has this experience, or is it a lost cause. Input anyone

if your past rls 4, put it in the trash can..prior to that it can be made to work. it is past eol but your right, it will still work.. don't shop for personal here, it's a big no-no.. we can't exchange email addresses or phone numbers. but you canuse it if you find a tech that wants to get out the old books. ask the bs tech if he knows anyone that wants to install it off the books.. we as a company do not do that but he may know someone retired that will do the work..

One thing you have to consider too, is that each release changes the output from the Link. The messages get tweaked with each release, thus the need for upgrades to the applications needing the messaging.

If they did not purchase the software development package from Nortel, they would have to manually deciper the messages with each new release.

This is mainly for CTI type applications.

MLink is not supported on Succession, but true, it doesn't say it won't work. It just means ETAS will not support it if you have issues.

have you priced symposium? not cheap but a very big software package for any price (and i don't get a commission)
