Meridian 1 Option 11 to CS1000 upgrade

We are looking to upgrade an existing Meridian 1 system to a new CS1000E system (inc. upgrading Meridian Mail to CallPilot and Symposium rel 3.2 to CC6). I just wondered if anyone here had gone through a similar upgrade and would be willing to share their experiences?

The versions/release and size (ports) of your current system is proportional to the complexity. That and how many similar upgrades your vendor and the lead person on the job have done.

Also how easy you can make the upgrade. Things like how well you know the system, how much room you have for any new terminals, PCs, servers, etc. Make sure you have as may "easy to get along with" employees that can work with the vendor team.

If you can make it easy on the vendor, it will be easier for you. Remember the goal is to get it done right - fight any battles after the stressful work is done.
