Hi!

To make a long story short> I need a way to merge word documents from the commandline or by somekind of language or script.

The effect should be like merging several txt docs by using "copy file1.txt+file2.txt destination.txt".

How do i do this?

ps. i cannot do this in word since it has to be automatic ds.

Thankful for any help!

/John

If you need to run this from a command line or running some code then it sound like your staying outside Microsoft Office.

In which case perhaps you could ask one of the other programming forums ie C++.

But you already knew that didn't you.

Sorry I'm not much help.

You can run a macro from the command line by using :

word.exe /mmacroname

(see this FAQ: faq68-1269)

But the macro is unlikely to give you everything you want, so you will probably need to amend the macro. If you know VBA, then this may be the route for you.

Ok!

I will check there. Thanks a lot you your help guys. Much appreciated!
