Merge replication: Keep getting error 20084

Hello,

I'm trying to merge-replicate a database to another server.
They're both SQL-Server 2000 with SP3 installed.

The snapshot works so far, but when trying to connect to the other server, i keep getting an error:
The process could not connect to subscriber 'Server_Name' (source: Server_Name (Agent); Error-number: 20084

Both servers can see each other (in Enterprise manager, by pinging, ...) They're both in different workgroups but I've full rights on both servers.

Are there any suggestions or do you perhaps need more information ?
