Is there any way I can get Office 2003 to personalise the subject lines of emails during a mail merge?

eg. Subject: "Possible work with <company name>"

Thanks,

Bill.

Also is there any way to turn off the warning:

"A program is trying to send email on your behalf - do you want to allow this?" (Wait 5 seconds before it allow you to click)
Which effectively makes mail-merging completely pointless in terms of the time it takes!

For the message, see Thread605-761383.

As far as the subject, yes, you can add the subject line by clicking the Setup button on the Merge dialog box. That is where you will tell the merge where to get the email addresses as well as whether or not to send the merge as an attachment.

Sorry I'm new to this - does this allow me to personalise the email subject by adressee?

Thanks

No, it only allows you to specify the subject line for all emails. Sorry.

Thought so! Who wrote this software?!
