I am writing table data to a comma delimited text file for a data source in a Ms Word merge document. I have a couple of questions if someone can give me a little help.
First is there a limit to the number of merge fields in the data source that Word can merge to the document?
Second, most of the fields in the data source are merging as expected, however I am trying to group repeating detail fields from a table into a single field. the data that makes up this field is 5,665 bytes & contains the leading ("
& traling (",) delimiters.
About 80% of the text merges correctly, but then I get a series of section breaks & then a line of the merge text followed by another section break. I am wondering if there are some special characters in the text that are causing the section breaks? Anyway I have been around the block with this several times & looking for a place to park..... any comments or ideas are greatly appreciated!!
Thanks
