Does anyone know of a way with "Meridian Mail" to import voice recordings? I know you can do it with Call Pilot but can you do it with MMail? I have people asking me if we can have messages professionally recorded, sent to us in a .wav format and then imported in MMail.

Thanks In Advance,

I think you can do it with a recorder/player though the phone.

I am not aware of any such feature, although I may just be ignorant.

If you do not find anything, there are a multitude of telephone couplers out there that will allow you to feed the audio, real-time, without any background noise problems. If you don't want to buy any, go find someone in ham radio, they usually have stuff like that hanging around. If you are handy with a soldering iron and understand basic electronics you can build your own. Easy stuff.

any wave file that you can play on your pc you can copy into mail. you need a soft phone, from the menu screen, use the more detail key at the voice prompt, soft key call, then have the mail dial your pc, at the record prompt start the wav. a little cleaner then a voice coupler but either way works... i have a ip soft phone on my pc for that purpose. i use the speech option in excel with lots of echo to leave msgs for my boss. he didn't care for may west answering the switch room phone
