I have a 200ICP release 5.0.0.18 with embedded voicemail. I have built many menu trees in my time but this one I built and initialized comes up when you call into the auto attendant and press 2 (the menu tree) says "I am sorry the person you are trying to reach is unavailable at this time". I have deleted the menu tree converted to a transfer mailbox and that worked then back to a menu tree and no go. I have stopped and started the voicemail through the iPVM a couple of times. My nest step was to reboot the ICP but just wanted to check to see if there is anything else I can try before a reboot.

It sounds like you have not recorded the greeting for the menu tree.

thanks for the reply, I have recorded the greeting for sure, I listened to it when I recorded it and pressed 9 key to accept it, did it again just now and still the same thing

Just to be clear, I understand from your post that you have a single digit mailbox 2 assigned as a Menu Node.

When you dial in to the Main Auto-Att and press 2, it does not play the message you have recorded.

What happens if you press a digit defined in the menu node while the wrong greeting is playing?

it doesn't play the message that I recorded just what I noted above, but I can press 1 or 2 after getting the wrong message and it does go through, the only issue is it is not recording my greeting yet when I do record it and listen to it, it is there, I have tried recording in a number of times.

I have deleted point 2 in the auto attendant and tried it under 5, same issue, they gave me a window a bit ago and I rebooted the pbx, same issue

update to this challenge, it is not only the menu tree, any greeting a voicemail user records does not take, tried several mailboxes and none work, name is ok and messages can be left and retrieved. My guess is the hard drive is corrupt.

That actually starts to make sense.

update to this challenge, I did a full backup replaced the hard drive did a restore and the problem still exists. If a mailbox user records their greeting and confirms it is recorded when called as an example you get "John Smith is on the phone please leave a message" or something close to that, you never get the greeting the mailbox user recorded.
I have created new mailboxes and same thing, I have compared the voicemail ports cos options with others I have and they are the same.

any ideas?

this has been resolved, the release notes mention the different greeting options for busy and non-busy and the system defaulted to the wrong one, I changed my test mailbox thru the system administrators mailbox to default 0 and that fixed it. Why all the mailboxes ended up this way is still a mystery but at least this works
