Memory upgrade in windows 2003 server

I upgraded the memory in a 2003 server to 6GB. When I boot the server, it counts up to 6GB, but when I log, I only see the previous amount. any ideas?

Did you add the /3GB and /PAE switches to the Boot.ini?

/3GB is used for any system with more than 3GB of memory installed and /PAE for systems with more than 4GB.

Which version of Server 2003 are you running?

Standard will not see anything above 4GB.

How much memory did you have before?
