Looking out for the future for both convenience and economy I am pondering the question:

-If I put DDR400 in a motherboard that supports DDR333 would it work?
-Would it slow down the memory to DDR333 speed? Would this cause any other types of problems?

Trying to build a new system and look out for the new AMD Hammer CPU's is becoming a pain! All I really want to do is play Everquest with my friends!

It should slow down the memory to DDR333 speed. With sdram it goes like that. You should not have any problems.
NOTE:this is only assumption... Sleew
