Memo fields truncating

I have a question to see if anyone has a work around in Crystal. I have Crystal hooked up to a database and in that db is a note field. This note field can be up to 8196 but Crystal only lets me have 255 before truncating. The problem is that I need the entire note. So, I was wondering if there was a function in Crystal or a work around that someone else has found to where I could get the entire note.

I am using the latest version of Crystal if that helps. Thanks ahead of time...

Might want to check to see if you have the 'can grow' box checked.

1) right click on field
2) Click format
3) Check 'Can Grow' Brian

It still seems to truncate at 255 and Crystal says it does not support any memo type fields. If you think of anything else don't hesitate to give me a shout. Thanks...

how about creating a formula that will include all of them?

what I mean is -

create 1 formula that captures from 1 to 255, then another from 256 to XXX...and so on til you hit the max of whatever your amount is (8196)

and then create one formula that strings them all together.

will that work?
