What is the difference between "frozen" tapes and "suspended" tapes? We keep on unfreezing tapes and next day media came back again suspended. Do we need to remove these from our library. Pls advise.

Thanks,
Jaq

frozen are tapes which will stay that way untill you take some action. Suspended are tapes which will be reuseable once all the images on it have expired. Both can only be used to read from and not writen to. Yes you may need to junk these ones because they are being frozen for a reason and unfreezing them fixes nothing. Look at your logs to see why the system is freezing the tapes.
