Hi All,
I am currently using ARCserve 2000 v.7 to backup a Windows NT server. I have set up 2 media pools, one for lunchtime backups and one for evening backups based on a 2 week rotation (10 tapes in each pool). I have set the retention time of each pool to 14 days and the minimum number of media to 9. As far as I can tell this should move the oldest tape to the scratch set ready for the next job.
My problem is this.
For some reason the tape data does not match up. For example I have a Monday tape which was last used 14/02/05. However when I look at the tape information it states the time of last write as 23/02/05 at 10.32. This is strange as the tape is not even in the building. What is causing the date on this tape to change?
Thanks in advance
