Has anyone had this problem before? Access says it can't convert because Jet 4.0 can only create 2048 tableIDs, which means that I would have to have over 500 forms, tables, and modules. Of which I'm lucky to have 100. Anyone know what's wrong or a way around this. Its an Access 2000 database, could this be the problem? I use Access 2003. Never had this problem before I got Access 2003.

Thanks for any info

I'm not familiar with Access 2003 (I use Access2000) but my guess would be that you have to convert the 2000 mdb to a 2003 mdb first, and then convert the mdb to mde.

What I would have done is first converted the Access 2000 MDB file into 2002 file format in Access 2003. Then I would have created the mde. See if that doesn't work. It may not like the 2000 file format or a reference you have in the application.

Its converted but i still get the same error...Apparently there is a none flaw in Access regarding this...but after talking to the guy who originally wrote the DB...he said he alreeady put in the necessary code to circumvent this...So I'm not sure what the problem is now. Any other thoughts?

Try compiling the code to see where it errors out.
