MDAC 2.6 and SQL 6.5

I will be upgrading SQL 6.5 to SQL 2000 ....
and concerned there may problems when the
latest MDAC (2.6 ?) is applied to the database Server ....

There are currently two VB4 apps using SQL 6.5
and one Web app using SQL 7.0 .....The SQL 7 server will also be upgraded to SQL 2000 and the new MDAC applied.

Any ideas on what could happen ?
