I'm looking for a tool which automates the following:
- Export all or specific event log files daily (.evt)
- Create an md5 checksum of that file
- Mail that checksum directly to an e-mail address
This way, i'd like to make sure, that a potential intruder won't have it so easy to change logfiles after he has done his work without anyone who takes a look at the logfiles recognizing e.g. a file access.
Or how do you do that task?
