Hi. We have like 200 Clients with Epo3.0 and VS7.0 deployed.
Our clients only have 128 megs of Ram under Win2K.
The thing is the McAfee solution uses up to 30 megs!
Here are the Tasks we have running from NAI:
shstat.exe
VsTskMgr.exe
naPrdMgr.exe
McShield.exe
FrameworkService.exe
UpdaterUI.exe
and *sometimes* McScript.exe
I do not make the AV-Software deceisions around here but I wanna know what we can do to optimize this bullcrap software. FrameworkService.exe seems to have a memory leak too, after a few days of uptime it reaches into the 20 Megs!
What is really killing the performace tho is the random occurance of McScript.exe, on some machines it pops up every 5 mins or so, uses around 8 megs of Ram and takes up 100% CPU for 5 secs or so.
Would swithcing to scanning the "commen files only" help a bit?
