MCD 5.0 SP2 - Message Waiting Indicator - Line In Use Problem

Hello. We have a problem with a message waiting indicator light that we cannot deactivate or remove from a device. Long story short, the directory number was taken out of service and an asterisk was placed next to the number the phone was apparently then unplugged while the voicemail message indicator light was still on. The number is not in service and the mailbox no longer exists. I have tried FACs to deactivate and a few maintenance commands and I still can't clear the device. I need to rebuild this phone for use and of course its an emergency as we have no others in stock at the moment. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Possible quick fix is to enable COS options to inquire/erase MWI

Yes. I tried that first. It did not clear the light though this has worked in the past with no problem.

Any chance you're talking about 4000 series sets and that you have been known to use the Move Swap command?

No. Its a 5340 IP on an MCD 3300 5.0 SP2. No move/swap command

Thanks kwbMitel. Apparently the original device was still configured in the system. Once I deleted that I was able to clear the set. Is it Friday yet!!!
