McAfee Anti-Spyware Module BETA Program Begins

The McAfee Anti-Spyware beta module for VSE 8.0i is now available. You must have Virusscan Enterprise 8.0i installed to run the McAfee Anti-Spyware software. There will not be a stand-alone version available.

The Anti-Spyware will not be included in any of the suites. It is has it's own SKU and price. You will need to discuss pricing with your McAfee Account Manager.

How to sign up for the McAfee Anti-Spyware beta program:

1) Complete a short survey

2) Sign-up to beta list
To sign-up, send a blank e-mail to join-antispyware_beta@feedback.nai.com ("join" should be in the subject line) and reply to the auto-response.

Or you can procure a copy from your McAfee Account Manager.

Submitting Adware/Spyware programs to AVERT:

Send all samples to virus_research@mcafee.com.
- All samples must be zipped and password protected (password = infected)
- The subject line should specifically say "MAS Beta

Where did you get this information? I couldn't find anything about it on there site. Also, where do you download the software?

I thought the McAfee Antispyware add-on was released at the end of 2004? That explains why I couldn't find much info on the web site other than the advertisement of the product.

Once you do step 2 above, you will receive an email in about an hour or so with the download locations.
