Is it an standard practice to install mobo & BIOS drivers when doing a clean OS install?
This is something I always overlooked, so I normally just go ahead with the OS installation, and I won't bother with the MB & BIOS drivers unless something doesn't work later on. But it just ocurred to me that I may have to change my ways, should I?

Thanks in advance,

JDL

In my view, if it works ok - LEAVE IT ALONE !!!!

If you're having problems with any hardware/software, check out what the upgrade BIOS/MB drivers have resolved then install if you feel necessary

Upgrading BIOS etc can often cause just as many problems as they fix !!!

Well the rule with BIOS updates are if you don't need it leave it alone!

But as for the mobo drivers I assume we are talking chipset drivers here? I would make sure to always install them and do them as soon as you have installed your OS as this can have a huge impact on your system performance as it controlls everything like hard drives etc etc.
