Maximum VGA cable length

I'm setting up this projector for a customer who will use his laptop from a podium with the projector located 65ft away.
I have a Proxima 9260+ LCD projector with N-008 long throw lens. I have to be able to run a video signal cable from the laptop snaking it 120ft to the projector. What is my best solution for an optimal signal and excellent video for Power Point presentations?

Have decided to go with a VGA/Multisync video extender
with CAT 5 cable. The signal should be pretty decent.
The cost for a 120FT HDDB 15 VGA cable was around $300
I'll save around $80

Can you help, I am looking to place a computer about 100' from a touchscreen monitor - I would like to run the kvm cables from the monitor to the computer. Will I receive distortion?

I've had success with vga-to-cat5 adapters .. a set's under 100.00 suggested distance is 100' but I've tested as far as 200' with little to no distorton
