Maximum length of a username and password

Can anyone tell me what the maximum length a username and a password can be in windows 2000, I would be most grateful.

The user name may be up to 20 charecters in length.
It may not include any of the following charecters; &quot;/ \ [] ; | , + * ? <>
The name may include spaces and periods.

I believe the max length for passwords is 256 charecters, (not positive about this).

Sorry, I meant the second set of items 1,2 and 3.

Passwords must be at least six (6) characters long.
Passwords must contain characters from at least three (3) of the following four (4) classes:

Description Examples
English Upper Case Letters A, B, C, ... Z
English Lower Case Letters a, b, c, ... z
Westernized Arabic Numerals 0, 1, 2, ... 9
Non-alphanumeric (&quot;Special characters&quot E.g., punctuation symbols.
Passwords may not contain your user name or any part of your full name.
