Hi guys

Can anyone tell me what the maximum capacity of an MDB file is??

Thanks Lloyd Gozzett

Hi Lloyd:

Acess 97 & 2.0 have a maximum size of .99 Gig and I believe 2000 and 2002 have a maximum size of 2 Gig.

I'm of the opinion that if your planning to use Access with record sources of this size, it's time to look at SQL Server as a back end. I regularly use Access to run reports on recorsets over 1.5 million entries and it is sloooooow even with proper indexing. Personally, I believe that Jet becomes doggish over say 300,000 to 400,000 recordset tables.

Just my opinion
