Maximize form and normal form size 1

Hi I am using a some form that open with DoCmd.Maximize but the problem is that I also have other forms that would be best viewed in the normal size. Example, inside a client form that is maximize i have a button that can open a small form to make little corrections by adding new choice for a combo box. I dont want it to open maximize. How can I do that.


At the same time, why is the maximize button is still there even if I deactivate it when i have a maximize form.

I found I had the same problem, I use docmd.restore on the open form event on the form I wanted normalised!

I am also having the same problem. This does help open the new form in a normalized window, but it also normalizes my background form that I want to stay maximized. Any ideas?

You can set the PopUp property to Yes on the form that you want to stay small (not Maximized). This will open the small form in its own window and leave the main form Maximized. The small form will "stay on top" of the main form with PopUp set to Yes, but the small form can be Minimized out of the way if needed.
