I have a database that starts off maximised on start up with all forms maximising when opening.
The problem lies when I carry out an action such as applying a filter. After applying the filter, the form appears maximised but not glued to the database as it was before the action. is there a way of returning it to its former state? If you want to be a bear:
Be a Grizzly!

I'm not sure what you mean by the term "not glued to the database".

However, you could try in either the OnGotFocus or OnCurrent event putting

DoCmd.Maximize

G LS

What I mean by glued.. is that the form is maximed and it is impossible to move the form by dragging the title bar. The Max & min also dissappear behind the Access main toolbar and the form fills the whole screen, which is the affect I want. But, after I use a filter the form is able to be manipulated and appears off centre even though its property is auto centre. Because of this some of the forms buttons on the footer dissappear off the bottom of the screen. If you want to be a bear:
Be a Grizzly!

OK I found the solution.
DoCmd.Maximise in the On Apply Filter event!!
Couldnt see the wood for the trees! If you want to be a bear:
Be a Grizzly!
