Here is the problem:

I have a very simple database of over 3,000 policy numbers in a single field. An elementary form will be developed for the user to enter a policy number, and I want to know how to have it looked up values for a match in the db.

If there is a match, I want it to return "Do Not Pursue" in a separate textbox; If no match, I want it to return "Send Letter".

Any help in accomplishing this will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks very much, -Bob in California

Thanks, Anne!

I took your advice, and my problem has been neatly solved with a small segment of VBA.

Your time and expertise is always appreciated.

By the way, six years ago, I moved from my home state of Minnesota to San Diego. Although I occasionally (rarely) have a bit of nostalgia for that great part of the Country, I have never regretted the move (especially this year - Brrrrr). -Bob in California

I'll tell you what. I don't mind the cold at all---AS LONG AS IT'S GOING TO SNOW. And since I work at home now, I don't care how much it snows! But it sure would be nice to warm for a much longer part of the year. Always happy to help! Anne Troy
