Should be a simple answer.

I have created a line and a box on my masterpage. I have the line "in front" over the box. Looks good. Thats how I want it. On the rest of the pages the line will only go behind the box, not in front therefore not following what I have on the Master Page.

Why? and how do I fix this?

Thanks a lot for any help.

If you did a Shift/Command/Click to the box on each of the non-master pages in order to insert a photo or something, that automatically brought the box to the front. So now you will probably have to do the same thing to the rule on each page to get it to come to the front.

Just did a test. Create a new layer on your master page -it should automatically appear at the top of the list. Move the rule to the new layer. This should pull the rule to the top on all pages.

Ooops, sorry, this only applies to InDesign - Quark does not let you create layers that are applied to master pages.

Strange would have thought there would be another way. Thanks for trying it out, I will do it manually!
