Master page - disappearing elements

I've created folios on master pages in a new 12-page document. Beginning on page 10, the last letter in the folio, along with the small graphic, disappears (left hand page only). Any subsequent pages I add are without those elements.

I've tried starting over from scratch in a new document with fresh text and the same thing occurs at page 10. I've never had this happen in any other document I've created. The only thing different about this one is that it's half letter size.

Anybody have an idea of what's going on here? Thanks!

auto-page numbering? is the text frame for the last letter in the folio large enough for the two characters that 10 and above use?

Thanks much for your reply. Yes, I'm using auto page numbering. The text frame is much larger than its contents.

But ... I'm beginning to wonder if the little graphic I've been using is causing the problem. Do you know if InDesign has problems with something like that on a Master page? Or maybe it's the graphic format (wmf)?
