Hi all,

I receive a master browser announcement on my AD domain from a pc with Windows ME.

Does anyone know how can I remove this announcement on the pc with Windows ME? Or I have to do something on my DC???

There's probably a registry key in windows ME but I don't know it..

Thanks a lot!!

The ME system probably took over the browser master role on the subnet it was on when an NT or Win2000 server in the same subnet was rebooted. It's really not that big a deal.

If it's settings are stored in the same place in the registry that Win95's are, you should be able to change it by changing the

HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VXD\VNETSUP\MaintainServerList

key to "0". If this key doesn't exist in the path I specified, do a search with regedit for the key 'MaintainServerList', and when you find it, set the value to "0".

Hope this was helpful.
